It can be tricky to include glycolic acid in your skincare routine, if you have never used it before. So check our tips below:
- If you have more sensitive skin or if you are not used to applying glycolic acid, we suggest you first try the soft cream or gel, depending on your skin type.
- If you do not have sensitive or reactive skin and know your skin can tolerate glycolic acid well, start by the moderate, and then go for the intense.
- However, when in doubt, go for the lower concentration of glycolic acid first.
- All the products should preferably be applied at night and do not forget to apply sunscreen in the morning!
Two products for normal to dry skin due to its creamy yet light texture. They contain glycolic acid and also borage oil that provides hydration and flexibility to the skin. This makes the cream texture ideal for dehydrated skin lacking lipids.
The Soft Cream contains 3,2% of free glycolic acid to gently exfoliate the skin’s surface. On the other hand, the Moderate Cream contains 6,1% of free glycolic acid for a more intense exfoliation of the skin. Both smooth the skin texture and stimulate skin’s renewal, yet with different intensities.
With a fluid and non-oily gel texture, these three products are perfect for combination to oily skin. Besides the glycolic acid, they also contain aloe vera, rich in antioxidants, to soothe and hydrate the skin.
They all exfoliate the skin surface, smoothing its texture. However they exfoliate with different intensities due to its growing concentrations of glycolic acid:
- Soft gel – 4% of free glycolic acid
- Moderate gel – 6,1% of free glycolic acid
- Intense gel – 9,5% of free glycolic acid
